Brooklyn's Art Under the Bridge Festival celebrates it's 10th Anniversary this weekend and it's going to be AMAZING. This is an OUTDISTRICT MUST! The Dumbo Arts Center and DumbA Queer Art Collective are happening in tandim; talk about diversity!

For us Brooklynites, Dumbo is no more than approximately a 30-block span. What better whimsey on a fall weekend than to cover it entirely with creative works of experimental video, graffiti, photography, and even a tepee? Yes, I said tepee! Talented Matthew Callinan has created this for the Brooklyn Bridge Park.

200+ Neighborhood artists will be opening their studios to the general public for an intimate view behind-the-scenes. Ha Rhin Kim and Swoon will also present their works during this weekend.

A funeral-style march will be held on Saturday, as part of their protest against the ridiculous real estate machine and the gluttonous rent increases. I remember the long-gone romantic "starving artist" days of Dumbo and Williamsburg studios. Best believe that OutDistrict will be in the crowd chanting in memory of it's glory. I'm told that we should wear black clothing and bring LOUD "MUSICAL" INSTRUMENTS. Now that's an Emo parade in Brooklyn!

The procession will begin at 12 noon, Saturday, 155 Water Street, Brooklyn.
