OutdistrictThe hottest new items at New York's Fashion Week came from an exciting new design partnership - the Human Rights Campaign and Heatherette. Celebrated Heatherette designers Traver Rains and Richie Rich created an exclusive "Heatherette Hearts HRC" T-shirt and tote bag for the Human Rights Campaign that celebrities from Nick Cannon to Kelly Rowland to JC Chasez have been spotted with.

"The Heatherette team put on such a great and exciting runway show that it will be tough to wait for the new merchandise to start appearing in stores," said Human Rights Campaign President Joe Solmonese. "I guess that's one of the reasons why it's so great that people can start sporting their 'Heatherette Hearts HRC' tees and totes right now."

The "Heatherette Hearts HRC" shirt was provided as a gift to guests in the first three rows of the Heatherette Fashion Show on Feb. 6. The shirt also appeared at the Sundance Film Festival and will be featured in the gift bag available to performers and presenters of the 49th Annual Grammy Awards held in Los Angeles on Feb. 11.

Fashion star Marc Jacobs designed an exclusive "Marc Jacobs Heart HRC" shirt for the Human Rights Campaign last year that remains available online and in each HRC Action Center & Store. A0 "Traver and I obviously would not be where we are today without the inspiration and support of our gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender friends and customers," said Heatherette designer Richie Rich. "Heatherette has always been about equality - we've never geared our collection to one demographic. We see the world in Kaleidoscope vision and design our collection to represent that ideal. Collaborating on this T-shirt with the Human Rights Campaign just felt like the most natural and logical thing to do to show our support for full equality for all people."

"When Richie and I were sitting on our living room floor making some of our very first pieces we were tossing out mottos and the one that stuck was: 'Heatherette ... for boys, girls and everyone in between!'" added Heatherette co-designer Traver Rains. "We used that for our first couple of trunk shows. REAL people and being true to yourself is rooted in the heart of Heatherette. Working on this collaboration has been so inspiring and will hopefully put a smile on a few faces!"
