You Missed It!

AUGUST 15. Live Art. Dance.  Exposure. SnapShot.

Art. Dancing. Designers. Photographers. Painters. All Queer. It was a creative network of queerdom and great music, thanks to DJ's Storm, Noa D, and Hillery at SnapShot on Tuesday night in East Village. All-female hip-hop dance troop, DECADANCE, tore up the stage before the amateur battle amongst snap-shotters began.

God-des of that dynamic dyke duo "God-Des & She" was the emcee for the night. The roof deck was packed with the artistic talents of Brooklyn and East Village, as we watched painters Julia Cocuzza and Jerry Gant create their masterpieces for the night's raffle.

Yes; you understood correctly. QUEER ORIGINAL ART: on-demand. Can't get any better than that!

The new line of GRiot apparel was also up for display and sale. Be sure to visit them online for some cool tees and tanks. They're based out of Brooklyn and Julia is one of it's designers. Another booth of funkiness was hosted by Over The Edge store. Linda Street was lovely, and their items were also a MUST HAVE, thanks to painter Jerry Gant. Visit www.snapshotnyc.com for full details and pics. Our gallery is a portion, based on the amount of photo takers for the evening. We'll be sure to check out the local blogs for additional good one's.

*411 ~ SnapShot hosts every Tuesday night @ Bar13 for those of you love to mix a little art with a funky women's dance party.

Check them all out online.
