When’s the last time a band had three demo tunes make a radio station’s national top 20 list? The Atomic Swindlers and their lead singer April Laragy are on a roll.
Demo versions of three new songs recently made their way to Sirius OutQ radio. All three have landed in the station’s top 20 list. The band will be working this winter on a follow up to their first CD, the critically acclaimed Coming Out Electric. That CD garnered best of the year honors from Village Voice senior music critic George Smith and #2 CD for the year from Rolling Stone senior music critic Barry Walters. Check out audio & video clips from the band below: >> Audio of "Stars In My Pocket" (MP3) "Float, (my electric stargirl)" Video (you tube) "Drag" Video (you tube) For more on the band, visit: www.atomicswindlers.com and www.myspace.com/atomicswindlers. Until next time!
