Many times, it is because the parents are Internet-illiterate: Forty-seven percent of the kids in the study said they helped because their parents were “clueless” at figuring out the Web, according to the press release. OutDistrictThe Nashville-based chapter of PFLAG (Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays), a national non-profit organization, announced it will begin collecting books, magazines, videos, and DVDs with GLBT (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender) subject matter, and will redistribute these media across the United States, as well as internationally. The recycled merchandise will primarily be sold online, with proceeds going to Nashville PFLAG.
